Taiwan's packaging supply sector is to mount a technology pavilion at PackTech International, the Middle East's trade show for the packaging industry being held in Dubai later this month.
The 138 square meter industry pavilion will house 12 Taiwanese companies, most suppliers of hi-tech packaging machinery.
"The sector has been buoyed by recent industry figures, released by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which show that sales of food and beverage manufactured in the emirate grew by 4.4 percent in 2001 on 2000 to hit three billion Emirati dirhams ($816.8 million),” explained Project Manager of Fairs and Exhibitions, Sharla Hancock.
A biennial event, PackTech International is backed by the UK-headquartered Confederation of Organizers of Packaging Exhibitions (COPE). — (menareport.com)
