The ministry acts upon recommendations of the Office of the

Arab Boycott of Israel, which was established in 1951 by Arab nations to keep companies that did business with Israel from operating in the Arab world.

Last month, the ministry blacklisted a Greek, a Danish and

two Maltese ships for docking at Israeli ports.

In its heyday, the Arab boycott office blacklisted more

than 8,500 companies, including Coca-Cola and Ford Motor

Co. (menareport.com)
