ALBAWABA - With many Nintendo fans dying to know what the new Switch 2 will offer, several leaks have been circulating on social media including that the upcoming hand-held console will be allegedly powerful enough to play games with similar graphics to the PS4.
Despite Nintendo not showing up at CES 2024 (Consumer Electronics Show), many took to social media to speculate what the Japanese tech giant will have in the bag for its fans in the coming months. Moreover, people are asking Nintendo on X (formerly Twitter) to name the Switch 2 as the "Super Nintendo Switch" which would be an awesome name in our eyes!
Here's everything we know about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2

Release Date
More leaks suggest that the Nintendo Switch 2 is possibly coming in September 2024, so get ready for an announcement soon but take in mind that some insiders said that it's just "guesswork" according to Beboom.
Additionally, rumor has it that the new handheld will ship with an LCD screen instead of an OLED one but will definitely be an upgrade from its predecessors.
Pricing
For pricing, rest assured as Nintendo doesn't like to price its consoles for bizarre and unattainable prices (looking at you GPU manufacturers), but there's a possibility that the Switch 2 might be slightly more expensive than its predecessors. A price bump of nearly 100$ could be expected depending on the console's components such as the APU and screen.
We expect the upcoming handheld console to cost between $340 to $400 but hopefully, the price tag will be under the $350 mark! Similar to Sony's PS5, some leaks say that Nintendo will allegedly announce two portable consoles, with one that supports physical games and the other only digital ones.
Specifications (screen, APU, and more)
Rumors are circulating that the screen might offer Nintendo gamers a crisp 120hz screen which is one hell of an upgrade from the 60hz OLED screen on the predecessor!
Additionally, the Nvidia T239 chip is the APU in question that might ship with the upcoming console, the chip might support DLSS which is known to simply make games look amazing for less demanding specs, thanks to Nvidia's upscaling and technological advancement but the final specs have not been announced yet.
The Switch might also be able to handle Unreal Engine 5 titles and The Matrix demo which was tested on the PS5 has been tested on the console. Imagine how beautiful the recent Legend of Zelda titles would look like on such specifications!
There is little word about the battery, but we hope to see a bigger capacity one as such specifications could drain the life quite a bit. For storage, it would be ideal if the new console supports expandable storage similar to its previous predecessors.
Design (controllers and hopefully a stick-drift fix)

A user on X found out that Nintendo has patented a new controller design that seems to include magnetic sides which is similar to Lenovo's Legion Go handheld which could be a nice upgrade from the sliding joy-cons. Some leaks also state that the reach giant is working on a fix for the notorious stick drift that many joy-cons suffer from as they are not cheap.
