Suzuki Saudia, the sole distributor for the Japanese automaker Suzuki in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has announced that it has recently signed an agreement with a pioneering car rental agency, Gama rent-a-car. The move sees Suzuki provide 100 cars as Gama expands its fleet to provide for the increasing demand for rental cars within Saudi Arabia.
“We are delighted to formalise this agreement with Suzuki Saudia as we wanted to expand our fleet of vehicles from a brand that is renowned for providing luxurious, high performance and reasonably priced vehicles. The demand within the Saudi car rental industry is soaring at the moment, as a combination of a booming construction industry and strong tourism growth are luring visitors to the country,” said Mohammed Hamed Mousa, Rental Manager, Gama.
“This year alone we have witnessed a 70 per cent increase in sales and as a result we intend to purchase up to 300 more vehicles from Suzuki Saudia to supply our increasing customer base,” Mousa added.
Suzuki Saudia has recently launched an expansion program that involves a full scale distribution network in major cities of the Kingdom with further plans to open a new showroom in Al Khobar within the next few months. As one of the largest automotive providers in the region, Suzuki Saudia supplies passenger, 4X4 and commercial vehicles to individuals, families and companies.
Commenting on the announcement, Ahmad Shamaile, Sales Manager, Suzuki Saudia said, “This is a great opportunity to strengthen our business relationship with one of our highly esteemed clients by providing our vehicles to service the growing rentals market in the region. Suzuki Saudia has an extensive network of showrooms that are located in Tabuk, Madinah, Qaseem, Makkah, Riyadh, Jubail, Dammam, Hofuf, Taif, Khamis Mshiet, Jizan, Mhael Aseer, and Yunbou. Another four branches are located in Jeddah and a branch in Al Khobar is imminent.
