Members of the 19-strong representative committee of the recently formed Dubai Supply Chain and Logistics Group (SCLG) held their first official meeting at Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) to elect key committee posts.

Reflecting the considerable size and diversity of the group’s membership, which is expected to exceed more than 8,000 within the next five years, 10 committee functions, including nine different posts of vice president, were appointed to coordinate SCLG affairs.

The appointment of the committee’s Acting President was deferred until a later date. Drafting a formal business plan for the group is also next on the agenda. The committee expects to meet at least once a month, while general meetings of the entire group will take place at DCCI up to four times a year. — (menareport.com)
