Sudan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed an agreement Saturday, June 23, to set up a joint ministerial commission to bolster bilateral relations, SUNA news agency said.
Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Ismail said after signing the agreement with UAE Foreign Minister Hamdan ibn Zaid Al-Nahyan, that the ministerial commission would work to strengthen political, economic and commercial ties between Khartoum and Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Hamdan Saturday visited Sudan for talks with Ismail and passed on a message from his father President Sheikh Zayd to President Omar al-Beshir on bilateral relations and the situation in the region, particularly concerning the Palestinian issue.
SUNA said the two sides expressed interest in bolstering relations in all fields. ― (AFP, Khartoum)
