Storage Technology Corporation (StorageTekthe), an American digitized data storage solutions provider, is to establish a Middle East branch office. The new office, to be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), will support StorageTek's growing distribution and reseller channel in the region.
“In a difficult time for businesses in much of the world, those in the Middle East have continued to perform strongly and we see this as a developing market. As companies grow, so the volume of their data grows even faster. We have seen the need for efficient, manageable and affordable ways for organizations in the region to store their data,” commented Michael Väth, vice president and general manager of StorageTek EAME.
StorageTek has had a presence in the Middle East through distribution partners for more than fifteen years. The establishment of the Dubai subsidiary underlines the importance of direct representation for the company to continue to increase and enhance its marketing and customer support activities, according to a company press release.
StorageTek's solutions are available through distributors and OEMs in the region including STME, StorIT, Sun, HP, NCR, SGI, Unisys and Fujitsu Siemens Computers. StorageTek is a two billion dollar worldwide company with headquarters in Louisville, Colorado. — (menareport.com)
