Middle East storage company STME has signed a deal worth over $1.5 million with the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC). The company purchased STME's disaster recovery infrastructure to manage and protect over one terabyte of mission-critical data, reported a press release.

KNPC's new enterprise storage infrastructure stores and makes accessible information for the three major oil refineries that together are one of the world's largest oil complexes. Financial data, inventories, ordering systems, and stock controls are just some of the vital information stored on the new system architected by STME.

As part of its agreement with KNPC, STME has provided business assessment services prior to deployment, as well as the implementation, training, and support for the oil leader's new storage solution.

With 13 offices across the region and twenty years of experience, STME equips companies with the ability to store, retrieve, manage, protect and share information from all major computing environments including UNIX, Windows NT, LINUX, and mainframe platforms. — (menareport.com)
