Star launches new TechTV programming

Cable provider, Star recently announced the launch of TechTV in the Middle East, to be made available as part of the popular Star Select bouquet currently distributed on both Arabsat and Nilesat platforms. TechTV will also be available to subscribers of the Pehla, Firstnet and Al Awael bouquets via the Kids & Knowledge pack and the Gold Pack, which is also available on both of ADD’s satellite platforms. 

 

Star is responding to growing viewer demand for modern lifestyle programming specifically targeting the technology and knowledge related sectors. Meanwhile, Star will be phasing out the History Channel, which had limited appeal in this market to accommodate the launch of TechTV. 

 

Tech TV’s programming covers all things related to technology and appeals to a wide range of viewers, from the novice to the technology expert. Programming includes technology entertainment shows such as Call For Help, a help and how to show to get the most out of technology, Fresh Gear, a highlight of the most innovative new products and gadgets on the market. Tech TV's live news programming, Tech Live, provides extensive coverage, analysis and features on breaking technology developments and how they impact consumers, the financial markets and the industry.
