System Integration (SI) services are the single largest IT services category in the Middle East, with local firms spending around $38.9 million on system integration services, reported IDC in a recent study.

"UAE IT users have been receptive to contracting out the implementation (integration) tasks, while actually running the system with their own resources. As a result, the SI share of total IT services expenditure is relatively high" comments Senior Analyst with IDC Middle East & North Africa, Torben Pedersen in a recent report.

"Over the next five years, IDC expects spending on system integration services in the UAE to grow at a much faster rate than the worldwide systems integration services market. IDC's studies show that growth in this segment will reach a CAGR of 9.6 percent through 2006" continued Pedersen. — (menareport.com)
