ALBAWABA - Uber, an American multinational transportation company, said that it will start offering helicopter services in 2026.
According to media outlets, Uber, the San Francisco-based company, has signed a cooperation with electric air taxi maker Joby Aviation, and they are planning to launch a helicopter ride by next year.
Joby is excited to make Uber customers feel the magic of seamless urban air travel, said JoeBen Bevirt, the founder and CEO of Joby Aviation.
It is worth mentioning that the cooperation between Uber and Jony Aviation came after the latter inked a $125 million deal to acquire Blade Air Mobility, which already allows passengers to use helicopters and seaplanes for $125 million.
Uber riders will be easily able to request Uber flights directly in the app in the "most populated cities in the world."
