Plans were recently revealed for an expanded base for the travel channel, Arabian Travel TV, of Four Lines Media, at Dubai Studio City (DSC).
Four Lines Media, a member of the Suwaidani Group, signed a Land Lease Agreement to this effect, according to WAM. The agreement stipulates that the new facilities will be built on a 60,000 square foot area, and will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and world class broadcasting technologies.
The landmark agreement was signed on Monday by Four Lines Media's chairman, Ali Al Suwaidani, and Jamal Al Sharif, Manager of Dubai Studio City.
"Dubai Studio City provides the strategic platform for broadcast companies targeting Arab viewers around the world," said Jamal Al Sharif.
"We are developing a supportive infrastructure and environment to enhance broadcasting companies' competitive edge. We also offer a host of enabling services and business incentives to assist them with their development," he added.
Arabian Travel TV has so far been operating from Dubai Media City for more than one year. IN the future, however, Four Lines' Dubai Studio City facility will serve as the channel's new headquarters.
Dubai Studio City stretches over a 22 million square foot area, and includes plans for several studio complexes, backlots, a social centre, a commercial zone, a residential district and a film academy.
