One of the UAE's leading real estate firms recently participated in an exclusive trade fair in Libya hosted at under the patronage of the son of the Libyan leader Muammar Al Gaddaffi, Saif Al Islam Al Gaddafi.
The important business event, which took place on August 20, was of the largest trade fairs ever held in Libya, according to reports by Go Wealthy. The fair aimed to showcase regional business players and to allow companies to network and present future projects and plans.
Tameer, which is also the developer of several prestigious projects such as the Dubai Marina Princess Tower, and is currently developing a $20 billion real estate development in Libya along with the Al Anmaa Economic & Social Fund.
Tameer, along with the Al Anmaa Economic & Social Fund have joined forces to create a joint venture called Tatweer Real Estate Developments (TATWEER), which will be responsible for overseeing the project operations.
The $20 billion development is expected to boost the economic and social progress of Libya, while creating a significant number of new employment positions. The landmark development project is also expected to provide a platform for foreign investors who wish to invest in Libya, who recently has adopted more liberal policies regarding its economic development.
