Sinai Cement recorded net profits of 23.9 million Egyptian pounds ($3.8 million) for the first half of 2003 compared to EP 15.1 million during the same period last year, a 58 percent increase, reported CASE.
Sinai Cement is located in the northern part of the Sinai Peninsula, some 60 kilometers south of Al-Arish city, Egypt. The company began operations in early 2001 and has a production capacity of 1.4 million tons of cement per year. The main dry-process plant equipment was supplied by F.L.Smidth. — (menareport.com)
