Sign & Graphic Imaging Middle East, the region's specialized signage, graphic imaging and screen printing industry show, is to have a dedicated hall for retail and point of purchase (POP) signage.
Organizers International Expo-Consults (IEC), say the decision to launch the new arena at the 2004 show is in line with huge retail development throughout the Middle East and signage demand emanating from it.
"Industry analysts have forecast that the Middle East retail market will be worth over $500 billion by 2010, said Mohammed Falaknaz, vice president, IEC. "Over seven million square feet of retail development has been announced throughout the region in the past year alone and the pace does not look like slackening. The opportunities for specialized retail and POP signage is enormous."
IEC is forecasting a 30 percent growth in exhibition space for Sign & Graphic Imaging 2004, which will be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC) from January 10-12 next year. IEC has booked 6,000 square meters of space for the show. — (menareport.com)
