Shell Markets (Middle East) Ltd. has negotiated an agreement with Emirates General Petroleum Corp. (Emarat) to transport aviation fuel to Dubai International Airport through a Shell-owned pipeline.

Shell owns and operates the pipeline, which runs from its Arabian Gulf Terminal (AGT) in Karama, Dubai, to the airport.

According to George Chacko, Shell Market’s distribution manager, the supply of fuel by pipeline rather than by road tanker brings operational benefits to Emarat, as well as health, safety and environmental benefits to the community through the reduction of road tanker traffic. – (Albawaba-MEBG)
