The Dh 2 million Sheikh Zayed Mosque currently under construction by the UAE Red Crescent Society is nearing completion, Omar Sawaliha, Director of Jenin refugees camp said. The project which started 18 months ago is the largest after the Jenin reconstruction project where 456 houses for displaced families were built by the RCS.

"The Sheikh Zayed mosque is one of projects viewed with pride by Jenin residents because it bears the name of the UAE founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose benevolence changed the lives of thousands of Palestinians", said Sawliah, according to WAM.
