Compressed Gas Technology (CGT) is constructing the first compressed natural gas (CNG) manufacturing facility in the Hamriyah Free Zone (HFZ), located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The plant is expected to become operational in March 2003, reported Gulf News.

CNG is an alternative fuel for automotives, which is hoped to replace the more expensive environmentally hazardous fossil fuels such as petrol. The company will deliver complete CNG fuelling stations, providing design, engineering, and assembly services. CGT expects to export its products to Iran, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh, as well as Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. — (menareport.com)
