A recently released study by the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry reveals that 493 food and beverage manufacturing factories are presently operating in Saudi Arabia.
This figure constitutes 15 percent of all factories in the Kingdom, estimated at 3,110, according to Al-Watan daily. Total investments in local food and beverages plants are valued 16.2 billion Saudi riyals ($4.3 billion).
Currently, the Kingdom has the largest number of food manufacturing plants in the Middle East. The sector is expected to grow as a result of a multi-billion dollar investment from the United States in an additional 600 new factories. ― (MENA Report)
