Arecently published report by the Saudi Bkeheit Consulting Center shows that Saudi Bank investment funds continued to incur operating losses in 2001, reported Al-Hayat . The report estimates the losses of these investment funds at 9.7 percent in 2001 compared with 11.3 percent in 2000. The total number of investment funds launched by the eight operating banks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stood at 125, of which 10 funds were opened last year and 12 funds were closed last year. — (menareport.com)
