Saudi investment authority licenses Chinese and Palestinian projects

The Saudi General Investment Authority is expected to provide licenses to two new projects in the near future, according to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat daily.  

 

The first project will consist of a joint Saudi-Chinese chemical manufacturing factory, with a cost estimated at 107 million Saudi riyals ($28.53 million). The second project, a Palestinian kitchen production factory, is to cost SR 5 million. China has become the seventh biggest trade partner of Saudi Arabia, with bilateral trade totaling $540 million in the first half of 2000. —(MENA Report)
