Saudi Hollandi Bank (SHB) will be sponsoring exhibitions by Saudi artists in Dammam and Jeddah, as part of an initiative designed to highlight Saudi creativity and promote Saudi art, stated a press release.

The announcement comes after the success of an art exhibition at an SHB customer event in Riyadh, which included a display of works by Saudi artists in the Sky Bridge of the Kingdom Tower.

Saudi artist and Saudi Culture and Art Association (SCAA) coordinator Nasser Al-Musa, who assisted SHB in organizing the Riyadh exhibition, said he is delighted at the prospect of further events. “This exhibition underlines the private sector’s determination to support social and cultural activities in the Kingdom and reflects an increased sense of social responsibility among privately owned institutions,” he said. “This will be of great service to the Kingdom and its citizens.”

The works on display in the Sky Bridge exhibition covered a number of different themes and styles by Fahad Alrobaiq, Huda Alomar, Asmaa Aldakhel, Sara Kalaketawe, Muhamad Alomair, Faisal Almeshare, Fahad Alhejelan, Hashem Sultan, Abdulrahman Alhawas, Abdulmehsen Aba Hussain and Nasser Almusa.

Saudi Hollandi Bank was the first bank in the Kingdom, opening its first branch in 1926. The bank employs over 1,000 people and has 39 branches throughout Saudi Arabia. Saudi Hollandi Bank is 60 percent owned by Saudi nationals and 40 percent by ABN AMRO, one of the leading banks worldwide and the largest bank in the Netherlands. — (menareport.com)
