According to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, during the Jeddah International Real Estate and Finance Exhibition 2005, the Saudi Telecommunication Company (Etisalat) signed contracts with three real estate development companies.
A first agreement was with Al-Essay Real Estate Development Company to execute the phone network in a 47 million square meter area in western, central and eastern Saudi regions. A second contract was signed with the Al-Ola Development Company to execute the phone network in a 1.2 million square meter area in Jeddah. A third contract was signed with the Mashareb Real Estate Company to execute the phone network in a 125,000 square meter area in Jeddah.
