The Saudi Minister of Treasury, Ibrahim Assaf, and the Austrian Ambassador in Riyadh recently signed a bilateral agreement promoting and protecting investments between the two countries, reported Al-Hayat daily.

Bilateral commercial relations between the states have significantly increased in recent years, especially since the signing of a bilateral economic and technical cooperation accord in 1988. The value of exchanges between both nations amounted to 1.225 billion Saudi riyals ($326 million) in 1999. ― (MENA Report)
