The state-owned Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco) produced 2.7 billion barrels of crude in 2001, equivalent to a daily output of six to seven million barrels of oil per day (bpd), reported Xinhua. The company exports close to 2.2 barrels of crude annually.

With control over the Kingdom's production of 12 percent of the world's total oil reserves, Saudi Aramco is the world’s largest oil producer. Aramco's oil operations encompass Saudi territorial waters in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea, totaling more than 1.5 million square kilometers. — (menareport.com)
