Saudi Aramco's Haradh Gas Plant was honored as "Project of the Year" during a recent oil industry award ceremony in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Assistant Undersecretary of Administration and Foreign Affairs, UAE Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Saeed Ismail Al-Khoory, presided over the 2003 Excellence In Energy Awards, held as part of the Oil Baron's Ball event at the Hotel Intercontinental. Saudi Aramco's award was accepted by the manager of the pipelines projects department, Salman A. Al-Jar.
The $1.3 billion Haradh Gas Plant project is designed to treat 1.6 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day to meet growing domestic needs in the Kingdom. The awards, described as the Oscars of the energy industry, are given to organizations chosen by a vote of the readers of Pipeline Magazine – a regional monthly energy publication.
The Oil Baron's Ball was sponsored by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and its group of companies, with a percentage of the proceeds going to the UAE Red Crescent Society. — (menareport.com)
