The Saudi Ministry of Commerce and Industry has forwarded a proposal to King Abdullah, requesting approval for establishing the first industrial city in Taif on an area of some 11 million square meters. According to Arab News, the Ministry of Rural and Municipal Affairs approved the site in north of Taif for the project three years ago.
