Sharjah Aviation Services Company (SASCO), a joint venture between Air BP and Felix Trading Company, celebrated this week the official opening of its new building at Sharjah International Airport, the unveiling of a new logo and a new business charter.
SASCO invested of 1.5 million Emirati dirhams ($408,000) in the upgrading of its facilities, nearly a third of which went to eco-friendly features in keeping with the company’s commitment to environmental protection, reported a company press release.
This commitment is reflected in SASCO’s new charter, which details the new operation’s standards of service. The company’s new logo reflects SASCO’s status as a local company with a global heritage.
“These are some of the visible signs of our commitment to continuous improvements in safe and efficient operations,” SASCO Managing Director Christian Tabet said, preparing the company to competing in the commercial arena with other international companies.
BP has had a presence in Sharjah since early 1930. This association has seen joint ventures in the aviation industry and others related to oil and gas. — (menareport.com)
