Originally planned to arrive a year ago, latest reports suggest that the iPhone compatibility is finally here for Samsung's range of Gear devices, thanks to the Samsung Gear S app officially coming to Apple's app store.

The app is not available everywhere as of now, but reports suggest that it will allow users to sync their iPhone to a Gear S2, Gear S3 or a Gear Fit 2, by hitting Connect to Gear on the app. However, the Gear devices wont connect to every iPhone. In order for this to work for you, you need to have an iPhone 5 or above, running at least iOS 9.0.

Samsung's latest Gear S3, available in both Classic and Frontier models, were released late last year and has been well received. The design of the watch is also quite appealing to Apple users, who are looking for something different than the standard rectangular Apple Watch. So good news if you are looking for something less rectangular shaped.

The Samsung Gear S app might not be available in your area yet, but it will soon make its way around. So it is worth keeping an eye out for.
