As part of its regional marketing strategy to promote its flagship SGH T-100 color mobile phone, Samsung Electronics, the world leader in digital technology, has signed leading Arabic diva, Assala Nasri, as its new brand ambassador in the Middle East.

Under the agreement, the popular singer will endorse and promote the recently launched mobile phone the SGH T100. Apart from featuring in forthcoming press advertising campaigns and Point of Purchase (POP) material for the new phone, Assala has also composed a special song around the T-100, which will feature in a soon-to-be-released television commercial. Further, T-100 customers will also be able to set the ring tones of their mobile phones to the beat of Assala's music, by downloading select songs of the singing sensation.

Launched across the region in April this year, the path-breaking SGH-T100 color mobile phone features a color LCD display panel and advanced multimedia capabilities. Using modern design elements to sport a future retro look, the new phone is encased in a silver metallic casing with a dual-screen folder design. The phone also features an enlarged keypad and an LCD screen, which has the ability to display eight lines of text and two lines of menu bar, which makes implementing multimedia functions easier.
