Samsung Electronics, digital technology manufacturer, debuted its entry and mid-level laser printers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market. The laser printers, aimed at the SOHO (Small Office Home Office) and the SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) markets form a part of Samsung's mid and long-term strategy to be among the top three players for printers in the region.
The new range of laser printers is initially being introduced in the UAE market followed by regional rollout within a span of three months. The new product line-up features three laser printer models: ML-1210, ML-1250 and ML-1450.
The launch of Samsung's new range of printers would serve to raise the affordability bar for entry-level laser printers in the region, Samsung Electronics Managing Director D.K. Byeon said.
“According to industry estimates, the regional laser printer market size in 2002 is 150,000 units with a consistent growth rate of 10-12 percent. Till recently targeted primarily at the corporate sector, this high-growth market segment is now making forays in the consumer sector. Our new range of laser printers with their affordable price range, enhanced features and superior performance will be a compelling proposition for business and home application users to build smart business proposals,” he added.
Founded in 1969 in Korea, Samsung Electronics today has 25 production bases worldwide and 59 sales subsidiaries in 46 countries. Samsung Electronics global strategy involves eight main regions: North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa (MEA), China, CIS and Latin America. — (menareport.com)
