Samsonite Group, the worldwide leader in travel solutions, announced its expansion plans across the UAE, in particular, and the GCC in general. According to Mr Prashant Vatkar, Vice President-ME Operations, Samsonite, "We are proud to reveal that Samsonite has been the number one provider for the needs of the discerning travellers. Knowing the importance of the travel industry in the GCC, Samsonite ME has planned new outlets and spread out campaigns. In 2007 we had 79 doors opened in the GCC; we are now moving up to over 140 doors by the end of 2008. In the UAE, we had 12 doors in the year 2007. By the end of 2008 we will be operating 25 doors located at major shopping malls in Dubai, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi. We have also launched 17 product lines in 2007; by the end of 2008 we will be launching 10 new lines. Our expansion process doesn’t stop there; we are in the process of completing our full fledged office located in the Jebel Ali Free zone to make sure the demands of our esteemed clients are satisfied."

Samsonite is launching Quadrion, a new line of uprights and spinners privileged for their discriminating features.
