Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has given his explicit support of the anti-globalization movement, following activists’ disruption of the G-8 leaders’ summit in Genoa last week. He stated that western regimes do not support humanitarian values and therefore these nations’ youth are rebelling, reported Gulf News.

He predicted that the anti-globalization movement would attract more followers in the future, making reference to recent demonstrations in Italy. At a recent cabinet meeting Hussein also maintained that such movements would eventually form organized political groups.
