Russian Lukoil hit by cyberattack
The famous Russian oil company was hit by a cyberattack today despite the ongoing energy truce with Ukraine. As a result of the attack, the company’s systems were down, and employees were unable to access them. They were instructed not to try to log in, as the attack was significant, and the company wanted to protect its data.
Despite the energy truce between Russia and Ukraine, Russia has been facing major cyberattacks aimed at disrupting its economic, financial, and energy infrastructure. These attacks reflect how conflicts are increasingly shifting towards cyber warfare in the modern age.
"All employees were instructed not to log into their work accounts using their usernames and passwords to prevent a data leak," the company stated.

Analysists anticipate that the system will be back online in approximately three days. Currently, client accounts and databases are closed and inaccessible. "This applies to both the headquarters and regional branches. The time required for restoration is unknown," according to the statement.
