Morocco's state airline, Royal Air Maroc, is to buy 22 Boeing aircraft in a one-billion-dollar (1.1-billion-euro) deal to develop its fleet, officials said Tuesday.
The US manufacturer is to supply the airline with 20 mid-range B-737s and two long-range B-767s starting 2003 and ending 2012, the airline said in a statement.
The decision ends a tender process begun in February by Boeing and Europe's Airbus. Most of Royal Air Maroc's existing fleet of 33 aircrafts is Boeings. — (AFP, Rabat)
