UK-based Regus has launched an office in Bahrain to provide firms with an alternative to conventional office space. The Bahrain office is located at the Almoayyed Tower, in Seef, the GDN reported.

Regus currently operates 15 centres across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain, with another 33 centres to be established by the end of 2007. It plans to expand into Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Libya, Egypt, Algeria and Morocco.

The Regus Group was founded in Brussels in 1989. The firm identified a business need in the fact that most companies at the time were utilizing hotel facilities to conduct business remotely. To meet that need, the firm created the on-demand workplace concept and brought it to the world.

Today, the Regus Group serves more than 100,000 clients a day worldwide and employs over 2,000 people. The company has a network of 750 business centers located at many of the most prestigious office buildings in 60 countries around the world. The Regus Group is the world's largest independent provider of video-conferencing facilities and a leader in the provision of meeting rooms in a professional office environment.
