Value of land transactions in Dubai boomed by nearly 90% to AED23.87 bn in 2004 compared with AED 12.56 bn in the previous year, according to Dubai Municipality. During the same period, Dubai Municipality cleared 11,690 building plans to contractors and developers, and the number of completed buildings reached 2,119 at a cost of AED 6.1 bn, SHUAA Bulletin reported.
