Real estate business in Oman during July 2005 accounted for RO 46 million and generated RO 693,963 worth fees, said Said bin Rashid al Habsi, Deputy Secretary of the Commercial Register at the Ministry of Housing, Electricity and Water. According to ONA, Al Habsi noted that sale transaction contracts stood at RO 17.7 million, while exchange contracts amounted to RO 570,200 during the same month. As many 4,659 new land plots were newly registered, said al Habsi, noting that 105 GCC citizens owned land plots during July.
