The Royal Air Morocco (RAM) carried more than 3 million passengers between November 2004 and August 2005, which mean an increase of 20% compared to the figures of the previous year.

Albayanne reports that this surge is mainly due to the increasing number of MREs (Moroccans residing abroad) who come to Morocco to spend their summer vacation. A spokesperson of RAM also indicated that the number of passengers rose due to the start of new flights to Oran, Istanbul, Valence, Montpellier, Catane, Douala and Ouagadougou.

RAM boasts flights to 60 destinations in Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East.
