Radisson Hotels & Resorts, which last month entered the Saudi Arabian market with the opening of the 183-roomed Al-Hayat hotel in Yanbu, has appointed its first District Manager for Saudi Arabia.
Dutch national, Maarten Van Den Nieuwenhuysen, takes up the new post from the Radisson Hotel in Beijing, China where he was General Manager. He will now be responsible for the new Radisson properties in Yanbu, Jeddah and Riyadh, as well as further development of the brand in Saudi Arabia.
Radisson Hotels & Resorts operates 12 Middle East and African properties in Amman, Aqaba, Bahrain, Beirut, Cape Town, Istanbul, Kuwait, Muscat, Sharm El Sheikh, Taba, Sharjah, and Yanbu. A further two Saudi hotels, in Jeddah and Riyadh, will join the chain this month. Two more properties in Egypt’s Hurghada and Al-Quesir are also in the pipeline, while Turkey will see two more Radisson hotels in Ankara and Istanbul. — (menareport.com)
