Radisson Hotel Kuwait appoints new General Manager

Radisson Hotels and Resorts, which operates eight Middle East and African properties, with six more under development in Egypt, Lebanon and Turkey, has appointed Andreas Flueckiger as General Manager of the Radisson Hotel in Kuwait. 

 

He is replacing Gaston Gellens who moves to Sweden to take over his new duties as Regional Director. Flueckiger, a 36-year-old Swiss national, launched his hospitality industry career over 20 years ago as a hotel chef before completing his higher education studies with a degree from Lausanne’s Hotel School. 

 

Radisson Hotels and Resorts operates eight Middle East and African properties in Amman, Aqaba, Bahrain, Cape Town, Istanbul, Kuwait, Muscat and Sharm El Sheikh. A Taba resort in the Sinai Riviera is scheduled for opening in November and two more properties in Egypt’s Hurghada and Al Quesir are also in the pipeline. Three more properties are also scheduled for opening in Istanbul, Ankara and Beirut. 

 

Radisson Hotels and Resorts currently includes 113 hotels in operation and 39 hotels under development in 37 countries and is the sole franchiser in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa for Radisson Hotels and Resorts. 

 

Radisson Hotels and Resorts and its parent company Carlson Hospitality Worldwide includes 813 hotel and resort locations representing 137,830 guest rooms in 63 countries plus six uxury cruise ships sailing worldwide. — (menareport.com)
