Quadrem, the global eMarketplace™, has launched operations in Saudi Arabia, bringing the global e-business hub to the industrial centre of the Middle East for the first time. The Saudi Arabian expansion is through a joint venture with Al Faisaliah Group, one of the 20 largest companies in the Arabian Gulf Region. Quadrem’s new regional office will serve Al Faisaliah Group’s own procurement operations and focus on the industrial sector throughout Saudi Arabia.

“When looking for a partner in Saudi Arabia, Al Faisaliah Group was a natural choice due to its successful experience in similar joint ventures, established customer base and related supply chain technology expertise,” said Charles Jackson, Quadrem CEO. “We are very pleased to engage in this alliance, which will help drive Quadrem’s fast growing presence across the Middle East and further solidify our position as the leading global eMarketplace.”

With a record of accomplishment of partnerships across six industries, Al Faisaliah Group has a long list of proven successes in Saudi Arabia, including global brand names with world-class companies such as Danone, Sony, and HP.

“The partnership with Quadrem enables us to leverage our strong existing networks in the Saudi Arabian market,” said Khalid Al Shamlan, General Manager, Al Faisaliah Business and Technology Services Company. “The combination of our internal capabilities and the value proposition of the global Quadrem supply chain solutions are creating a lot of excitement within Saudi Arabia.”

“Quadrem’s partnership with Al Faisaliah brings great opportunity given the size and importance of the Saudi Arabian economy and growing B2B maturity in the region. AFG’s existing and ISP capabilities complement Quadrem offerings and bolster other synergies between us,” said Leo van Rensburg, General Manager for Quadrem Middle East.
