The Qatari government is set to take corrective steps soon to combat rising inflation rates. “There is immense concern in the government over the high rate of inflation and measures to keep the rate under control would be taken in the near future,” said Qatar's Minister of Economy and Commerce, Sheikh Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Thani.

According to the Peninsula, he was delivering a lecture on the Qatari economy on Monday on the sidelines of the 17th International Book Fair being held in Doha.
