The value of Qatari exports went up to QR92.23bn last year, up 39.86% compared to 2005. The total value of imports in 2005 was QR36.62bn, which indicates a 67.6% increase over 2004 and heightened economic activity in Qatar, Gulf Times reported.
According to the Planning Council, crude oil and LNG pushed up Qatari exports yet again, accounting for QR75.63bn last year. Crude oil exports earned QR46.74bn and LNG QR28.89bn in 2005.
