The Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has ratified two cabinet decisions relating to sale and lease of real estate in Qatar to GCC citizens and foreigners.
According to the Peninsula, citizens of other GCC nationals have been given the right to own land and residential units in three designated areas following the approval of the Cabinet Decision No. 5 of 2006 while foreigners can lease properties for a period of 99 years in 18 areas.
