Qatar's Urban Planning and Development Authority (UPDA) will cover the mega projects including the Pearl Qatar, Doha International Airport and Education City projects in its proposed masterplan, reported Al Sharq. However, the areas like Dukhan and Messaied, where major petroleum companies are situated, will be excluded from it.
The UPDA, which has already launched a survey prior to the preparation of the masterplan, is set to start the work on the masterplan by December. As part of it, UPDA has started coordinating with various government and private agencies.
