Qatar unveils largest budget yet

In the country's largest budget allotment yet, Qatari authorities allocated some QR18.4bn for the 2006-2007 budget to develop its infrastructure project. 

 

The impressive budget rests on economic growth due to successful economic policies, as a surplus of QR2.3bn is expected, according to <i>The Penninsula</i> quoting <i>QNA</i>.

 

“It is a budget with a human face,” said one businessman, referring to the fact that Qatari citizens will experience a marked improvement in essential.

 

The education and health sectors will also receive priority.
