Qatar's Services and Public Utilities Committee of the Advisory (Shura) Council held a meeting headed by its Rapporteur Saqer Fahd Al Mereikhi at its seat at the White Palace Monday. According to the Peninsula, the committee discussed a draft law about some temporary rules governing temporary rentals of buildings and places rents in Qatar. The committee decided to invite representatives of the cabinet general secretariat to its next meeting to review this draft law from the cabinet’s perspective.
The committee also resumed discussions of the current hikes in real estate rentals in the state and decided to further discuss it at another meeting.
