The Qatari Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture (MMAA) will begin issuing licences to people who wish to build shaded parking areas around their houses. According to the Peninsula, a study has already been carried out to this effect and shortly the various municipalities will be given authorization to issue licenses.
Applicants should sign a contract with the respective municipality. The contract will also mention the price of the land per cubic metre.
