Qatar conference in to evaluate Middle East pipeline projects

The first International Middle East Oil & Gas Pipelines event will be taking place in Doha on October 21-22, 2002. Nasser Jaidah, director of New Ventures at Qatar Petroleum, will be chairing the opening day of the conference, which will feature a comprehensive analysis of the legal, financial and political challenges encountering pipeline project implementation within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) , Iraq, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.  

 

Other confirmed speakers include Lebanese Minister of Energy Mohammed Baydoun, Secretary General of Jordan’s Energy Ministry Azmi Said Khreisat, EGU General Manager ExxonMobil Qatar Scott Miller, Mervat Bedawi the director of the technical department at the Arab Fund for Economic & Social Development in Kuwait, Saadalla Al-Fathi, the former advisor to the Iraqi Oil Minister and Giacomo Luciani, professor of political economy and co-director of the Mediterranean Program at the European University Institute in Italy. — (menareport.com)
